The change follows Resolution No. 562 of the Cabinet of Ministers, adopted on September 4, which introduced a new service for acquiring “special” license plates. The service is currently available through the Safe Road YHXX mobile app.
Under the new rules, all previously auctioned but unsold “special” plates of categories 1–3 are now being offered for a fixed price. Individuals can purchase them for 17 times the base calculation unit (BHM) – equal to 7 million UZS – while legal entities must pay 25 times the BHM, or 10.3 million UZS.
At the initial stage, only plates that remained unsold at auctions are available. However, beginning January 1, 2026, individuals and legal entities will be able to purchase any preferred combination of letters and numbers by paying the corresponding fixed rate.
