Samarkand to restrict road access for 15 days during UNESCO conference
The 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference will be held in the city.
The roads leading to Samarkand will be temporarily closed from October 30 to November 14 this year, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported. The restrictions are being introduced in connection with the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference, which will take place in Samarkand during this period.
According to the ministry, alternative routes will be organized for transit vehicles.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs advised citizens planning to travel to Samarkand during these dates to adjust their plans accordingly.
