According to the Committee on Religious Affairs, citizens can now apply to join the queue for Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages online.
Applicants have two registration options – through the Unified Portal of Interactive Government Services or via the official website www.haj-umra.gov.uz.
The portal was created to:
– provide convenience for pilgrims, ensure transparency, and eliminate the human factor in the formation of queues;
– establish a unified electronic queue and transition the Hajj application process fully to an online format;
– digitalize the collection and processing of documents related to pilgrimage travel.
“Now citizens can apply for the queue without leaving their homes, without the need to visit organizations in person, collect paperwork, or deal with bureaucratic hurdles,” the committee said in a statement.
