Uzbekistan simplifies business visa process for 15 countries

According to the resolution, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan have been added to the list of countries whose citizens may enter Uzbekistan without a visa for up to 30 days.

In addition, the visa-free stay period for Chinese citizens has been extended to 30 days. An exception remains for residents of Hong Kong, who can continue to enter the country visa-free for up to seven days.

Uzbekistan has also introduced a simplified business visa procedure for citizens of 15 countries. Under the new rules, applications will be processed in an accelerated manner within 2–3 working days. Details are provided below:

Visa processing time – up to 2 working days:

- Austria

- Belgium

- United Kingdom

- Germany

- Spain

- Italy

- Latvia

- Malaysia

- France

- Czech Republic

- Switzerland

- Japan

Visa processing time – up to 3 working days:

-         United Arab Emirates

Visa processing time – up to 3 working days (up to 10 days in exceptional cases):

- Iran

- Pakistan

Business visas for citizens of Iran and Pakistan will be issued under agreements on simplified visa procedures for business and academic circles, as well as for tourist groups. The processing time may be extended to 10 days if additional verification is required.

Uzbekistan and Iran reached an agreement on simplifying visa procedures for entrepreneurs, researchers, and tourist groups during the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in September 2022. The agreement entered into force a month later.
