Average monthly salary in Uzbekistan up 19 percent to over UZS 6 million
In January–September 2025, the average nominal monthly salary (including taxes and other payments) in Uzbekistan amounted to UZS 6.17 million, marking a 19.2 percent increase compared to the same period last year, according to the National Statistics Committee.

As in previous years, Tashkent city recorded the highest average salary – UZS 10.3 million, up 18.7 percent year-on-year. It was followed by Navoi region (UZS 7.6 million), Tashkent region (UZS 5.8 million), Andijan region (UZS 4.9 million), and Bukhara region (UZS 4.9 million).
The lowest average monthly wages were observed in Namangan region (UZS 4.5 million), Surkhandarya region (UZS 4.3 million), and Kashkadarya region (UZS 4.2 million).
By economic activity, the arts, entertainment, and recreation sector showed the fastest wage growth, with salaries up 122.8 percent from the same period in 2024 to reach UZS 5.11 million.
Significant growth was also seen in the education sector, where the average salary reached UZS 4.1 million, an increase of 19.8 percent. In transport and storage, the average salary stood at UZS 9.3 million (up 16.7 percent), while in information and communications, it reached UZS 14.9 million (up 16.6 percent). The industrial sector reported an average salary of UZS 7.3 million, representing a 16.3 percent increase.
In construction, the average monthly salary amounted to UZS 6.34 million, growing by 9.2 percent year-on-year. In accommodation and food services, the figure was UZS 5.12 million (up 10.1 percent); in trade, UZS 6.88 million (up 12.1 percent); and in healthcare and social services, UZS 3.77 million (up 14.6 percent).
The highest salaries were recorded in the banking, insurance, leasing, credit, and brokerage sector, where the average monthly wage reached UZS 16.83 million, marking a 15.6 percent increase.
