The World Boxing organization has released its updated official rankings, placing Uzbekistan’s national team in first place overall, followed by Kazakhstan in second.

Six Uzbek boxers currently lead in their respective weight categories: Abdumalik Khalokov (60 kg), Asadkhoja Muydinkhojayev (65 kg), Fazliddin Erkinboyev (75 kg), Jahongir Ummataliyev (80 kg), Akmaljon Isroilov (85 kg), and Turabek Habibullayev (90 kg).

Kazakh boxers lead in the remaining four categories, with Sanjar Toshkenbay (50 kg), Makhmud Sabyrkhan (55 kg), Torakhan Sabyrkhan (70 kg), and Aibek Oralbay (+90 kg) taking the top spots.

“Uzbekistan’s boxers are leading in six out of ten weight categories, while Kazakhstan dominates in the other four,” the organization said on its official Instagram page.

It should be recalled that at the World Boxing Championships held in Liverpool, Kazakhstan ranked first in the overall medal standings with seven gold medals, while Uzbekistan finished second with six golds.
