President Mirziyoyev hosts official welcome for Finnish leader ahead of talks
On Thursday, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev hosted a ceremonial reception for President of Finland Alexander Stubb, who arrived in Uzbekistan on an official visit. The event took place at the Kuksaroy residence in Tashkent.
The square in front of the residence was adorned with the national flags of Uzbekistan and Finland, as an honor guard stood in formation to greet the visiting delegation. President Mirziyoyev warmly welcomed President Stubb and invited him to the podium, after which the national anthems of the two countries were played.
The two leaders then introduced members of their official delegations before posing for a joint photograph. The ceremony was followed by high-level talks between the Uzbek and Finnish delegations, marking the start of President Stubb’s official program in Uzbekistan.
