He praised Uzbekistan’s impressive progress in various areas of public life, describing cooperation with the country as an important step for Serbia in building stronger ties with fast-growing economies.

“The most striking impression for me – and I believe for all of you – was the tremendous progress achieved by Uzbekistan, truly remarkable progress. Last year, its growth rate reached 6.5%, and this year it will likely be even higher. In the first three quarters alone, it reached 7.6%,” Vučić said in an interview with Radio Television of Serbia. He added that Uzbekistan is “a country of young people,” noting that 60% of its population is under the age of 30.

Vučić expressed hope that President Mirziyoyev’s visit to Belgrade would mark the beginning of a “strategic partnership” between the two countries. “We will prepare key documents that will serve as a foundation for further strengthening our cooperation,” he said.

The Serbian leader emphasized that his visit to Uzbekistan was of great importance, as both countries “represent the future.” He also pointed out that there are numerous opportunities for collaboration across various sectors.
