Uzbekistan finalizes WTO accession talks with Canada and Panama
Uzbekistan has concluded bilateral negotiations with Canada and Panama on its accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO), according to Azizbek Urunov, the Special Representative of the President on WTO Affairs.
The protocols marking the completion of the bilateral talks were signed during the 11th meeting of the working group on Uzbekistan’s accession to the organization.

“Uzbekistan expresses its gratitude to the teams of Canada and Panama for their constructive engagement in the accession process and during bilateral negotiations,” Urunov said.
He added that Uzbekistan now needs to finalize agreements with only three remaining countries before achieving full WTO membership. The names of these countries have not been disclosed.
