Uzbekistan and U.S. sign new agreements to boost cooperation in industry, agriculture, and IT

A series of bilateral agreements were signed in Washington, D.C., marking a new stage in Uzbekistan–U.S. economic cooperation across key sectors including industry, agriculture, and digital technology.

The signing ceremony took place following a roundtable with leading U.S. companies, investment funds, and financial institutions. The event was attended by President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick.

The agreements aim to modernize Uzbekistan’s industrial infrastructure, introduce resource-efficient technologies in agriculture, strengthen collaboration in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, and diversify export–import operations.

Among the key documents signed were:

  • Ministry of Geology and Denali Exploration Group – cooperation in the production of rare earth elements;
  • Fund for Reconstruction and Development and Re Element Technologies – joint projects in rare metals;
  • Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade and Flowserve – modernization of pump stations;
  • Ministry of Agriculture and Valmont Industries Inc. – introduction of water-saving agricultural technologies;
  • Ministry of Digital Technologies and Palo Alto Networks – expansion of cooperation in artificial intelligence and digital security;
  • UzAirways and Boeing – aircraft supply agreement;
  • Datacrop and Louis Dreyfus Company – delivery of soybeans and meal;
  • Uzsanoatexport and Cargill – cotton supply agreement.

These partnerships are expected to further enhance Uzbekistan’s integration into global supply chains, attract high-value investment, and accelerate the country’s transition to modern, technology-driven production.
