President Mirziyoyev holds talks with Utah business delegation on expanding cooperation
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a business delegation from the U.S. state of Utah to discuss the development of trade, economic, and investment cooperation amid the growing momentum of the Uzbekistan–U.S. strategic partnership.

The delegation was led by David Bednar and Miles Hansen. The meeting was also attended by U.S. Ambassador to Uzbekistan Jonathan Henick.
During the talks, the sides expressed satisfaction with the ongoing dialogue and exchanges between Uzbekistan and the state of Utah. It was noted that joint projects have already been launched in areas such as digitalization, education, and social protection.
The discussions also highlighted significant potential for collaboration in innovation, mining, women’s entrepreneurship, inclusive education, healthcare, as well as water supply and sanitation.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to organize a visit to Uzbekistan by a delegation led by the Governor of Utah to further strengthen interregional ties and explore new partnership opportunities.
