The documents signed and exchanged cover cooperation in trade, healthcare, agriculture, transport, security, culture, and interregional partnership. Among the most significant is the agreement regulating the activities of the Uzbekistan–Turkmenistan cross-border trade zone.
Other agreements include collaboration in healthcare and medical science, the development of agricultural cooperation, amendments to intergovernmental accords on disaster prevention and international road transport, and cooperation programs between the justice ministries and culture ministries for 2026–2027.
The two sides also exchanged memorandums on railway wagon supply for transporting petroleum products and liquid chemical cargo, biological safety, and the establishment of an Uzbekistan–Turkmenistan Expert Council between leading research institutions.
A 2026–2030 “roadmap” for cooperation in forestry was also endorsed, alongside new interregional agreements linking the regions of Surkhandarya, Kashkadarya, Tashkent, and Karakalpakstan with their Turkmen counterparts – Lebap, Ahal, and Dashoguz (Toshhovuz).
According to both governments, the newly signed documents create a solid legal foundation for launching joint projects, boosting trade turnover, expanding the use of transport and logistics potential, and strengthening humanitarian and interregional ties.
