Uzbekistan’s imports hit $33.1 billion in nine months
Uzbekistan’s imports amounted to $33.1 billion in January–September 2025, according to new data published by the National Statistics Committee. The figure represents a 15.6 percent increase compared to the same period in 2024.
Machines and transport equipment accounted for the largest share of total imports, making up 33.9 percent or $11.2 billion in monetary terms.
The import of industrial goods totaled $5.3 billion (15.9 percent), while the import of chemical products and similar items reached $4.1 billion (12.3 percent).
Services amounted to $3.6 billion, representing 11 percent of total imports, followed by food products and live animals at $3.1 billion (9.3 percent).
Imports of mineral fuels, lubricants and related products stood at $2.6 billion (7.9 percent), while various finished goods totaled $1.2 billion (3.7 percent). Imports of non-food raw materials excluding fuel reached $1.1 billion (3.3 percent).
Animal and vegetable oils, fats and waxes were imported worth $387.5 million (1.2 percent), while beverages and tobacco amounted to $251 million (0.8 percent). Other goods made up $229.7 million, or 0.7 percent of total imports.
