Natural gas supply restored for greenhouses in Tashkent and neighboring areas
Natural gas delivery to greenhouse farms in Tashkent and adjacent districts has been restored as part of efforts to implement the presidential decree aimed at improving the capital’s environmental conditions.
Under a presidential decree of 24 November “On urgent measures to improve the environmental situation in Tashkent city”, instructions were issued to arrange contracts ensuring natural gas supply to greenhouse facilities located in Tashkent and neighboring territories.
Following this, Hududgaztaminot JSC has been consistently formalizing tripartite gas supply agreements with greenhouse farms.
According to the Ministry of Energy, 68 greenhouses in Tashkent and its surrounding districts, covering 173.1 hectares in total, applied through Public Service Centers, signed contracts, and are now receiving natural gas under the established procedure.
In addition, 34 greenhouses in Zangiota district and 66 in Qibray district have signed agreements for the delivery of heat energy. The ministry noted that these greenhouses are receiving heat in the prescribed volumes under those contracts.
Authorities stated that all greenhouses connected to the natural gas network are currently being supplied with “blue fuel” continuously and in line with approved standards.
