Three people confirmed dead after gas cylinder explosion in Gulistan
Authorities have confirmed that three people died following a gas cylinder explosion at one of the markets in Gulistan on 2 December.
The victims passed away in hospital, the press service of the Syrdarya Regional Department of Internal Affairs told Kun.uz.
A criminal case has been opened under Article 257, Part 3 of the Criminal Code, which concerns violations of labor safety rules resulting in death. One individual has been taken into custody as part of the investigation.
Earlier reports indicated that the explosion occurred in the kitchen of a private company located in the Taraqqiyot neighborhood of Gulistan. While the regional Emergency Situations Department initially stated that additional information would be provided, no further updates have been released.
The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to determine the causes and circumstances of the incident.
