Winter break in schools to start on 28 December

According to the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, the winter break for the 2025–2026 academic year will start on 28 December for general secondary school students.

It was noted that for primary grades (1–4), the holiday will begin one day earlier – on 27 December.

The winter break will run until 10 January 2026 (14 calendar days).

Because 11 January 2026 falls on a Sunday, classes for the third term will begin on Monday, 12 January 2026.
