Jeddah–Tashkent flight diverted to Bahrain after onboard medical emergency
A Jeddah–Tashkent flight made an emergency landing in Bahrain after a medical incident occurred on board.
Flight 9S-3306, operating from Jeddah to Tashkent, was diverted after an elderly female passenger suffered a sudden cardiac arrest during the flight. The aircraft’s crew made the decision to land at the nearest airport to ensure the passenger received urgent medical assistance.
According to the report, the pilots acted promptly and requested an emergency landing, while a medical team was alerted ahead of the aircraft’s arrival in Bahrain.
Cabin crew members provided immediate first aid to the passenger prior to landing. After touchdown, local medical specialists boarded the aircraft and carried out resuscitation procedures, successfully stabilizing the woman’s condition. She was subsequently transported to a local clinic for further treatment.
Following refueling, the aircraft resumed its journey to Tashkent with an approximate delay of two hours. The flight landed safely at 09:49 local time.
