Shavkat Mirziyoyev attends informal CIS leaders’ meeting in St. Petersburg
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev took part in an informal meeting of the CIS heads of state on December 22 at the State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg.
At the meeting, presidents of Uzbekistan, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Belarus, as well as the Prime Minister of Armenia, summed up the key outcomes of their joint efforts over the past year and outlined priority objectives for the coming year.
The parties stressed the importance of creating more favorable conditions to boost mutual trade, developing cooperation in the transport sector, encouraging the growth of mutual investments and supporting cooperative projects, strengthening partnerships in energy and digitalization, expanding joint initiatives in science, education, culture, and the arts, as well as fostering long-term cooperation between regions.
It was also noted that cultural and humanitarian exchanges among CIS countries should be continued, with particular emphasis on supporting the development of young people’s creative, innovative, and intellectual potential.
