Tashkent leads Uzbekistan in education spending by wide margin
Uzbekistanis’ spending on education services over the first eleven months of 2025 has been disclosed.
According to the National Statistics Committee, the volume of market services in the education sector across the country totaled UZS 34.2 trillion from January to November 2025, representing an 8.8 percent increase compared to the same period last year.
The highest level of spending on education services was recorded in Tashkent, at UZS 16.6 trillion. It was followed by Samarkand region with UZS 2.5 trillion, and Fergana region with UZS 2.2 trillion.
Spending in other regions was distributed as follows:
- Andijan region – UZS 1.7 trillion
- Bukhara region – UZS 1.7 trillion
- Namangan region – UZS 1.7 trillion
- Tashkent region – UZS 1.6 trillion
- Kashkadarya region – UZS 1.5 trillion
- Surkhandarya region – UZS 1.2 trillion
- Khorezm region – UZS 1.1 trillion
- Republic of Karakalpakstan – UZS 1.0 trillion
- Jizzakh region – UZS 532.3 billion
The lowest volumes of market education services were recorded in Navoi region, at UZS 438.5 billion, and Syrdarya region, at UZS 343.7 billion.
