Supreme Court publishes updated list of banned extremist and terrorist online resources
The majority of prohibited sources are on Telegram – nearly 800 channels and groups.
The Supreme Court of Uzbekistan has released an updated list of materials banned from import, production, distribution, and display within the country due to their association with extremist and terrorist ideologies.
The list includes 249 Facebook pages, 790 channels and groups on the Telegram messenger, 265 Instagram profiles, 167 YouTube channels, 36 pages on Odnoklassniki, 53 TikTok accounts, 33 websites, and other sources containing prohibited content.
Over the past five months, more than 200 new sources have been added. In September of last year, the total number of prohibited resources was 1,385. Nearly half of the new additions are Telegram groups and channels.
Authorities remind that distributing materials from the channels and groups listed constitutes a violation of the law.
