Iran’s airspace closure disrupts several flights to and from Uzbekistan
Due to the closure of Iran’s airspace, a number of international flights were forced to change their routes or return to their departure airports. In particular, several flights linked to airports in Uzbekistan and the wider region were diverted back.

According to Uzbekistan Airports, Fly One Asia flight 7Q7742 operating on the Medina – Tashkent route returned to Medina Airport. Another Fly One Asia flight, 7Q4442 on the Medina – Fergana route, also turned back and returned to Medina.
Jazeera Airways flight J9650 on the Tashkent – Kuwait route departed Tashkent at 02:01 local time but subsequently returned to Tashkent Airport, the statement said.
In addition, Sam Air flight 9C3303 operating from Samarkand – Jeddah took off from Samarkand at 02:04 local time and later returned to Samarkand Airport.
Fly Khiva flight 2U7911 on the Urgench – Medina route departed Urgench at 02:17 local time and was also forced to return to Urgench Airport.
Uzbekistan Airways flight HY336 operating on the Jeddah – Tashkent route was likewise compelled to return to Jeddah Airport due to the closure of Iran’s airspace.
Airlines and airport services are advising passengers to regularly check updated flight information through official airline channels and airport information services.
