Uzbekistan to launch new support package for state-assisted families
Uzbekistan will introduce a new social assistance package for families classified as “state-supported families” starting from 1 February 2026, in line with updated legislation aimed at improving living standards, expanding employment, and supporting small-scale entrepreneurship.

Under the new measures, eligible families will be able to receive subsidies and concessional loans focused on renewable energy use, job creation, and income generation. In particular, households in this category will be granted subsidies of up to 100 times the base calculation value (BCV) for the installation of solar panels with a capacity of 7–10 kilowatts.
In addition, concessional loans of up to 75 times the BCV will be made available through commercial banks for a period of up to four years. These funds are intended to support the employment of able-bodied family members and to help families start or expand entrepreneurial activities.
The loans may be used for a wide range of purposes, including the purchase of livestock, poultry, rabbits, fish, and beehives, as well as for acquiring mobile retail units, motor scooters, scooters, and other essential equipment. Families may also use the funds to construct greenhouses or invest in other income-generating assets.
The loan will be issued with a one-year grace period and transferred directly to the social card of a member of the state-supported family. The interest rate will be set in accordance with the terms of the Family Entrepreneurship Development Program.
The authorities expect the new assistance package to encourage self-employment, reduce dependency on direct state support, and promote the use of renewable energy at the household level.
