The decision is part of efforts to digitize and streamline the organization of Hajj and Umrah trips for Uzbek citizens.
The newly established Hajj and Umrah Unified Portal (www.haj-umra.gov.uz) requires all prospective pilgrims to complete registration through the platform. Travel arrangements will not be processed without the completion of this online registration.
The registration requirement will take effect in stages:
- February 1, 2026 — mandatory for Hajj participants
- May 1, 2026 — mandatory for Umrah participants
Authorities emphasized that the portal will serve as the official system for collecting pilgrim information and ensuring compliance with the new digital procedures.
