The documents were inked on January 29 following the fourth meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council, held in Ankara. The talks culminated in the adoption of a broad package of bilateral agreements and decisions covering key areas of the multifaceted partnership between the two countries.

According to official information, the signed documents outline cooperation across a wide range of sectors, including healthcare, education, and military medicine, as well as economic and financial cooperation. The two sides also agreed to expand collaboration in the mining industry and to jointly develop international transport corridors, reflecting their shared interest in improving regional connectivity.

Further agreements focus on cooperation in the development of special economic zones and on information exchange and collaboration in the fields of nuclear safety, physical protection, safeguards, and radiation protection. Migration issues were also addressed, with the two countries signing an agreement on facilitating migration processes and cooperation on the return of citizens to their home countries.

In addition, intergovernmental agreements were concluded between Uzbekistan’s Committee for Religious Affairs and Turkey’s Presidency of Religious Affairs, aimed at strengthening cooperation in the religious sphere. The foreign ministries of the two countries approved a cooperation program for 2026–2027, while a memorandum of understanding was signed between Uzbekistan’s Agency for the Development of Light Industry and Turkey’s Council of Higher Education.

The package also includes a cooperation plan in the field of culture for 2026–2027, underscoring the importance both sides place on people-to-people ties and cultural exchange.

The agreements signed at the council meeting are expected to provide a structured framework for advancing Uzbekistan–Turkey relations and translating the comprehensive strategic partnership into practical outcomes across priority sectors.
