New Armenian ambassador to Uzbekistan presents credentials to FM Saidov
On February 16, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov received copies of the credentials of Armenia’s newly appointed ambassador to Uzbekistan, Georgi Kocharyan.
The meeting marked the official start of Kocharyan’s diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan.
During the taalks, the sides discussed prospects for further expanding mutually beneficial cooperation between Uzbekistan and Armenia. Saidov noted that there are numerous areas with significant potential for deepening bilateral ties.

The discussions focused on strengthening collaboration across various sectors and building on existing diplomatic engagement between the two countries.
Kocharyan was appointed Armenia’s ambassador to Uzbekistan in late January this year, with residence in Yerevan. He succeeds Aram Grigoryan, who had headed the Armenian diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan since 2019.
