IJF President Marius Vizer arrives in Tashkent for Grand Slam 2026
Marius Vizer, President of the International Judo Federation, has arrived in Tashkent as an honorary guest of the Grand Slam 2026 tournament, which will be held in the Uzbek capital on February 27, 28 and March 1.

The high ranking official was welcomed at the airport by representatives of the Ministry of Sports, the National Olympic Committee and the Judo Federation of Uzbekistan.

As previously reported, the Grand Slam Tashkent 2026 tournament will take place at the Humo Arena multifunctional complex. The competition is one of the key stages of the International Judo Federation World Tour and plays an important role in shaping the world ranking and Olympic qualification.
Leading judokas from more than 40 countries are expected to participate. The total prize fund of the tournament amounts to EUR 154,000.

During the three days of competition, medals will be contested in men’s and women’s weight categories. Admission to all days of the event will be free for spectators.
