According to a presidential decree aimed at increasing the efficiency of the environmental program, individuals and business entities that make significant contributions to tree planting and park creation will now be eligible for various honorary titles and financial benefits.
Under the new regulations, individuals who plant at least 100 tree saplings or donate a minimum of UZS 10 million to the "Yashil Xayriya Jamg‘armasi" (Green Charity Fund) platform will be granted the status of "Eco-active Citizen." For the business community, those who organize the planting of at least 1,000 trees or contribute UZS 100 million to the fund will receive the "Eco-partner" title. Notably, businesses with this status will have the right to utilize the title in their corporate advertising and marketing campaigns.
For larger-scale contributions, the decree establishes even higher levels of recognition. Individuals who ensure the planting of no fewer than 50,000 trees or donate at least UZS 5 billion to the Green Charity Fund will be honored with the title of "Patron." Furthermore, those who establish at least five green gardens or public parks at their own expense in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the various regions, or Tashkent city will be considered for the "Kelajak Bunyodkori" (Builder of the Future) state award.
Recipients of the "Kelajak Bunyodkori" medal are entitled to a one–time cash prize equivalent to ten times the Base Calculating Amount (BCA), along with several other legal privileges. These measures follow earlier proposals from January 2025, which suggested providing "Eco-active Citizens" with 10% discounts on public services and preferential rates for consumer loans at banks with over 50% state ownership. These initiatives are part of a broader strategy to foster environmental discipline and reward those who invest in the country's ecological future.
