The agency has ranked 170 higher education institutions based on its Graduate Quality Index, or BSI, which assesses graduates’ performance in the labor market. The ranking is based on data from 249,432 graduates.

Graduates of the Tashkent branch of the S. A. Gerasimov All-Russian State University of Cinematography had the highest average monthly income, at UZS 23.4 million.

The top 10 institutions by graduates’ average monthly income were:

  1. Tashkent branch of the S. A. Gerasimov All-Russian State University of Cinematography – UZS 23.4 million
  2. Inha University in Tashkent – UZS 12.6 million
  3. Westminster International University in Tashkent – UZS 12.5 million
  4. University of World Economy and Diplomacy – UZS 10.6 million
  5. Tashkent State University of Economics – UZS 10.3 million
  6. Tashkent University of Information Technologies – UZS 9.4 million
  7. Management Development Institute of Singapore in Tashkent – UZS 9.3 million
  8. Tashkent branch of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics – UZS 9 million
  9. Tashkent State University of Law – UZS 8.4 million
  10. Navoi State University of Mining and Technologies – UZS 8.1 million

The figures show a substantial gap between the institutions at the top of the ranking and the national average. Graduates of the leading institution earned nearly five times the average income recorded for university graduates nationwide.

Earnings by field of study

Income levels also varied significantly by field of study.

Graduates in creative and sports disciplines had the highest average monthly income, at UZS 6.33 million. They were followed by:

  • Applied sciences – UZS 5.5 million
  • Social sciences and humanities – UZS 4.61 million
