Score 90 assesses Uzbekistan’s chances of advancing at the 2026 World Cup
All participating teams for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, hosted jointly by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, have been finalized. For the first time in its history, the Uzbekistan national team will compete on the world’s biggest football stage.
Following the official draw, the White Wolves, led by head coach Fabio Cannavaro, have been placed in Group K. Uzbekistan will face formidable opponents in the opening round, including Portugal, Colombia, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The analytical portal Score 90 has evaluated the probabilities for each team to progress to the knockout stages. According to their assessment, Portugal is the clear favorite to secure the top spot in Group K. The European side, captained by Cristiano Ronaldo, is given a 64% probability of advancing. Colombia follows in second place with a 32% chance.
The remaining two teams in the group face significantly lower odds. The Democratic Republic of the Congo, which secured its spot through the intercontinental playoffs, is given a 3% chance of progression. Meanwhile, the portal estimates Uzbekistan’s likelihood of reaching the next round at 2%.
Uzbekistan is scheduled to begin its historic tournament journey on June 18 at the iconic Azteca Stadium in Mexico against South American giants Colombia. The second round will see the White Wolves face Portugal on June 23 at Houston Stadium in the United States. The final group match against Congo is set for June 28 at Atlanta Stadium.
The 2026 World Cup, the first edition to feature 48 nations and three host countries, will officially kick off on June 11 and conclude on July 19.
