President Mirziyoyev receives Russian delegation to discuss nuclear energy cooperation and industrial projects
On April 15, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a Russian delegation led by Sergei Kiriyenko, the First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office. At the start of the meeting, the high–ranking guest conveyed the warm greetings and best wishes of President Vladimir Putin to the Uzbek leader.

The discussions primarily focused on the practical implementation of agreements reached at the highest level aimed at deepening the strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Russia. Both parties expressed satisfaction with the active dialogue maintained across all sectors. It was noted that trade turnover continues to grow steadily, while significant industrial cooperation projects are being successfully implemented and cultural–humanitarian exchanges are expanding.

A key point of the meeting involved the implementation of the project to build the first integrated nuclear power plant in Uzbekistan. Both sides paid special attention to the progress of this initiative and broader cooperation in the field of peaceful nuclear energy.

Furthermore, the meeting resulted in agreements to intensify mutual cooperation in several modern sectors. These include the development of digital technologies, youth policy, and information strategy. Both parties also agreed to foster stronger ties between mass media organizations and to support the development of civic initiatives.
