During a meeting held on Thursday, the president emphasized that improving the well-being of servicemen and their families remains a critical priority for the government.

As part of these measures, the monthly longevity pay for officers of the Ministry of Defense will be doubled. Additionally, the president announced a 10% increase in the financial allowance for rank-and-file soldiers and sergeants serving under contract. These financial incentives are designed to increase the attractiveness of military careers and recognize the long-term commitment of professional officers.

Beyond financial compensation, the meeting addressed the strategic need to modernize the preparation of reserve and retired officers. An analysis of global military conflicts has underscored the importance of maintaining a well-prepared officer reserve during peacetime to meet mobilization needs in times of conflict. To address this, the president proposed the establishment of five new military training centers. These centers will be located at Urgench State University, Termez State University, Andijan State University, the Samarkand Institute of Economics and Service, and the Andijan State Medical Institute.

The reforms also include a restructuring of the educational framework for reserve training. A new system will be introduced in state higher education institutions to train reserve officers through a three-year bachelor's degree program specializing in "Pre-conscription Military Education." Furthermore, the Military Medical Institute will, for the first time, offer paid contract-based training for students in clinical residency and master's programs who wish to undergo military preparation. This opportunity will also be extended to students studying at non-state higher education institutions.

To ensure the armed forces remain technologically competitive, the training of reserve officers will now include modern and highly specialized fields, such as artificial intelligence, drone technology, and robotics. New curricula and training programs for military units will be developed by drawing on the experiences of advanced foreign militaries. Following the presentation of these proposals, the president signed the relevant acts to officially launch the implementation of these initiatives.
