Uzbekistan earns $1.1 billion from tourism as arrivals rise since early 2026

Nearly 3 million tourists have visited Uzbekistan since the start of the year, a 37% increase. Tourism export revenues rose by 48%, according to official data.
The government has set a target of attracting 20 million foreign tourists by 2030 and serving 12 million visitors in 2026.
Authorities plan to implement targeted programs to develop tourism in each region, tailored to local characteristics.
From 2026 to 2027, Uzbekistan aims to launch 31 master plans, create over 40,000 jobs, increase accommodation capacity to 8,250 facilities, and expand the number of tourist villages and neighborhoods to 84.
The government has also pledged support for tourism businesses, including reimbursement of up to 25% of costs for attracting foreign tourists, capped at UZS 500 million, and incentives for companies offering cultural and theatrical programs.
