The president outlined a series of initiatives aimed at strengthening regional cooperation and promoting green development across the borders.

In particular, President Mirziyoyev proposed the establishment of an interstate consortium – "Clean Air of Central Asia." This entity would serve as a joint operator for green financing, specifically designed to modernize regional industries and introduce advanced emissions-control systems.

To bolster scientific efforts, the President suggested granting regional status to the Green University’s center for combating desertification and preventing drought. He noted that consolidating scientific capacity would significantly strengthen the monitoring of land degradation and salt-dust emissions, while providing early warnings for sandstorms.

The leader also called for the creation of a "Green Trade Corridor of Central Asia." This corridor would feature preferential customs regimes and the mutual recognition of certificates for environmentally friendly goods, aimed at accelerating industrial modernization throughout the region.

Furthermore, the president proposed creating a unified regional investment portfolio of climate projects. He argued that a comprehensive development strategy would boost the interest of international partners and streamline funding for environmental goals.

President Mirziyoyev highlighted the necessity of developing a Unified Regional Atlas of Environmental Changes in Central Asia. This atlas would serve as a scientific and analytical foundation for assessing desertification, land degradation, and the current state of water resources.

Regarding biodiversity conservation, a proposal was made to develop a "Red Book of Central Asia." This project would be carried out in coordination with the regional office of the International Union for Conservation of Nature in Tashkent.

Emphasizing the importance of environmental education, the president proposed that Uzbekistan host a World Youth Climate Forum in 2027. This initiative builds on the work of the consultative committee on ecology established during the COP–29 summit in Baku.

In addition, President Mirziyoyev announced that the Eighth Global Environment Facility (GEF) Assembly will be held in Samarkand from May 31 to June 5, 2026.
