Khusanov, who has become a key figure in the squad, is seeking to secure the title for the second consecutive month. The Uzbek international was previously named the team’s best player for March after receiving the highest number of votes from the club’s supporters.
During the month of April, Khusanov demonstrated exceptional consistency, starting in all four of Manchester City’s matches across all competitions and playing the full 90 minutes in each appearance. His defensive contributions were instrumental in a perfect run for the club, which saw Manchester City secure victories in every fixture he contested. These included high-stakes Premier League wins over Liverpool (4:0), Chelsea (3:0), and Arsenal (2:1), as well as a 1:0 victory against Burnley in the FA Cup.
The winner of the award will be determined by a fan vote, with the results expected to be revealed early next month. Supporters can cast their votes for Khusanov through the club’s official platforms to help him retain his title as the team's standout performer.
