UAE opens market to Uzbek livestock and poultry products
The United Arab Emirates has approved a set of veterinary certification templates, allowing Uzbekistan to begin exporting a range of livestock products to the Gulf nation.
The UAE Ministry of Climate Change and Environment confirmed the bilateral endorsement of five veterinary health certificate templates. These cover the export of hatching eggs, day-old chicks, table eggs, poultry meat, and rabbit meat from Uzbekistan.
According to the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade, the agreement formally opens market access for these Uzbek products and establishes the regulatory framework for expanding livestock trade between the two countries.
Veterinary health certificates serve as a guarantee that animal products comply with the strict sanitary and safety requirements of the importing country. Under the new agreement, only shipments accompanied by the mutually approved certificate templates will be eligible for customs clearance in the UAE.
