Among those who changed their permanent country of residence, the vast majority chose neighboring Kazakhstan or Russia. Kazakhstan emerged as the top destination, attracting 80.6% of the total number of individuals who moved abroad. Russia followed as the second most preferred choice, accounting for 16.4% of the departures.
Meanwhile, South Korea and Kyrgyzstan drew smaller shares of the total, accounting for 0.8% and 0.7% of the relocations, respectively. The remaining 1.5% of citizens moved to various other countries around the world.
A regional analysis within Uzbekistan reveals that the highest number of departures for permanent residency abroad was recorded in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, where 727 people chose to relocate. Significant numbers were also registered in the Tashkent Region with 637 people, the Navoi region with 511 people, and the capital city of Tashkent with 243 individuals.
Conversely, the lowest emigration figures were observed in the southern part of the country. Only three people left Surkhandarya region for permanent residency abroad, while five individuals relocated from Kashkadarya region.
