Education Ministry opens registration for primary school enrollment

The online application portal for first-grade enrollment for the upcoming 2026–2027 academic year officially opened in Uzbekistan today, June 20, at 10:00.

Officials from the Ministry of Preschool and School Education have detailed the exact requirements, timeline, and registration channels for parents and legal guardians preparing to enroll their children in primary school. Applications must be submitted digitally through either the dedicated education portal my.maktab.uz or the Single Portal of Interactive State Services at my.gov.uz.

The enrollment process follows a strict two-stage schedule designed to prioritize local residents before opening remaining seats to outside applicants. The initial phase runs from June 20 to July 31, during which schools will exclusively accept applications for children residing within their designated local micro-districts. Following this, the second phase will take place between August 1 and August 31, allowing parents to apply to schools outside their immediate catchment area, subject to classroom capacity and available resources.

To complete the online registration, parents must upload a specific set of personal and medical records. The required documentation includes a standard medical certificate under form 086/u or 063, a recent 3×4 photograph of the child, and valid identification documents for both the child and the applying parent or guardian.

The ministry has established dedicated telephone helplines to assist families navigating the digital system or seeking clarification on enrollment criteria. Parents requiring technical support or advice can contact the institutional call centers directly at 71-203-07-04 or 71-203-04-03.
