Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan sign information security and diplomatic cooperation agreements
Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan have signed a package of bilateral documents aimed at strengthening political dialogue, expanding cooperation between their foreign ministries and enhancing collaboration on international information security.
The documents were signed in Ashgabat following talks between Uzbekistan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bakhtiyor Saidov, and Turkmenistan's Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rashid Meredov.
According to Saidov, the two sides signed an agreement between the governments of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan on cooperation in ensuring international information security, as well as a cooperation program between the foreign ministries of the two countries for 2027–2028.

"Following our negotiations, we signed a number of bilateral documents aimed at further strengthening cooperation between our countries," Saidov wrote on his Telegram channel.
He added that the agreements would contribute to the further institutional development of political dialogue, expand practical cooperation between the two countries' foreign ministries and strengthen collaboration in the field of modern international security.
