UAE's TAQA Water Solutions considers participation in Uzbekistan's water infrastructure upgrades
Uzbek diplomats have held talks with Dr. Nadir Assad bin Taher, acting chief executive officer of the Emirati company TAQA Water Solutions, to discuss potential cooperation on modernizing Uzbekistan's water infrastructure.
The discussions focused on prospective projects aimed at upgrading water supply and wastewater systems, introducing modern technologies, and expanding public access to high-quality utility services.
The two sides also exchanged views on improving water resource management, developing infrastructure, and expanding cooperation through public-private partnership mechanisms.
Particular attention was given to the potential application of TAQA Water Solutions' expertise in Uzbekistan.
Founded in 2005, the company currently treats more than 1.3 million cubic meters of wastewater per day, manages approximately 13,000 kilometers of sewerage networks, operates more than 40 wastewater treatment plants, and oversees more than 260 pumping and lifting stations.
Following the talks, the parties agreed to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation and continue practical discussions on the implementation of joint projects.
