Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov presented the award to Shavkat Mirziyoyev on July 30 during the Uzbek leader's visit to Kyrgyzstan.

Accepting the decoration, Mirziyoyev expressed his sincere gratitude to the president and people of Kyrgyzstan, describing the honor as recognition of the two nations' joint efforts to strengthen their centuries-old bonds of friendship and good-neighborliness.
He said the award also reflected the shared commitment of both countries to elevating Uzbekistan – Kyrgyzstan relations to a new historic stage of allied partnership.
Established in 1996, the Manas Order is one of Kyrgyzstan's highest state awards. It is conferred on Kyrgyz and foreign citizens for outstanding contributions to strengthening statehood and international cooperation, as well as promoting peace, friendship and mutual understanding between nations.
