According to the presidential press service, the review focused on the work and future plans of the Ministry of Energy, Regional Electric Power Networks JSC and Uzenergoinspeksiya in implementing the president's directives.
A special operational headquarters has been established in Yangiyul district to improve electricity and gas supply. The headquarters holds open meetings with businesses and residents to examine complaints related to power outages, insufficient network capacity, low gas pressure, connection procedures and outstanding payments.
Based on the experience gained in Yangiyul district, the government plans to establish the same model in 13 additional districts before expanding it to other parts of the country.
The authorities are also strengthening measures to ensure transparency and compliance with the law in the issuance of technical connection specifications for businesses seeking access to electricity and gas networks, while taking additional steps to prevent corruption.
As part of preparations for the autumn-winter season, work is underway to modernize ageing power networks and equipment, reduce energy losses, improve energy efficiency and eliminate the causes of emergency outages. The government is also developing an electronic system to deliver assignments to employees across the sector, monitor their implementation and evaluate performance using measurable indicators.
The Ministry of Energy has been tasked with creating a unified and effective management system for the sector, coordinating the activities of energy enterprises, ensuring the timely implementation of investment projects and overseeing systematic preparations for the autumn-winter period.
Regional Electric Power Networks JSC has been instructed to improve the reliability of electricity supply, gradually modernize infrastructure, reduce emergency outages and enhance customer service.
Uzenergoinspeksiya has been assigned to strengthen oversight of the efficient use of energy resources, ensure compliance with technical standards, reduce losses and accelerate energy audits of major consumers.
The meeting also addressed preparations for the autumn-winter season in neighborhoods with limited gas supply, expanding private sector participation in the distribution of liquefied gas and using artificial intelligence to monitor processes across the energy sector.
The president instructed responsible officials to implement all planned measures through a targeted approach supported by precise calculations and to ensure a stable supply of electricity and natural gas for both the population and the economy.
