The issue was discussed during a meeting between Uzbekistan’s Consul General in Istanbul Sherzod Abdunazarov and representatives of Trendyol. The sides considered placing products made by Uzbek manufacturers on the platform and arranging their sales to Turkish consumers.
Trendyol representatives expressed their readiness to help Uzbek businesses adapt their products to the marketplace’s requirements and establish sales in the Turkish market.
The meeting also addressed ways to help Uzbek businesses access international e-commerce platforms. The sides agreed to jointly compile a list of export products that could be sold through Trendyol.
As part of the process, the parties will assess the marketplace’s technical and commercial requirements. They also plan to establish direct contacts between the relevant representatives and work on logistics, certification, customs clearance and payment arrangements.
The initiative is expected to create an additional channel for Uzbek producers to reach consumers in the Turkish market and expand the country’s e-commerce-based exports.
