The U20 World Wrestling Championships are currently being held in Bratislava, with athletes under the age of 20 competing across the wrestling disciplines, according to Uzbekistan’s National Olympic Committee.
As is customary, the championships opened with the Greco-Roman wrestling events.
Ismoilov reached the final in the 63kg category, where he faced Kazmakhov. The Uzbek wrestler prevailed 9–7 to claim the gold medal and the world championship title.
