The campaign, which started on July 28 and runs until September 6, involves an average of 4,500 pieces of equipment and more than 10,000 industry employees per day, with services operating round the clock.
Over the 40-day period, authorities aim to remove and process 1.4 million tons of solid municipal waste and 2,000 tons of construction debris.
Of the country's 8,150 mahallas, 7,674 have been covered by the measures. Authorities recorded 97 violations for illegal waste dumping, with fines totalling 165.4 million Uzbek soums. A total of 327 appeals were received from citizens; 275 were resolved on site and 52 are pending review.
Waste is placed daily at 135 municipal landfills covering a total area of 1,653 hectares, where 14,000 to 15,000 tons are deposited each day. Vehicle trips to the landfills average 4,500 to 4,700 per day.
