The parties reviewed a proposal to import 7,000 head of pedigree Holstein cattle into Uzbekistan each year and place the animals with families in mahallas across the country's regions. The chamber said Holstein cows are known for their high productivity, with some producing more than 40 liters of milk a day.
The meeting also addressed the possibility of supplying 500,000 tonnes of wheat to Uzbekistan via the Caspian Sea, following a high wheat harvest in Russia this year. The parties considered establishing logistics routes through the ports of Astrakhan and Makhachkala. The parties agreed to continue cooperation in these areas and to develop practical projects.
Earlier, it was reported that Russia accounted for the largest share of Uzbekistan’s exports in January-July 2026. Exports to Russia amounted to $2.8 billion during the period, according to the National Statistics Committee.
