Established under a presidential resolution adopted on June 28, 2024, the 21-hectare Kegeyli Baraka Naslli Parranda complex has created 70 permanent jobs for residents.
According to the presidential press service, the enterprise can accommodate up to 200,000 chickens at a time, with 130,000 currently being raised at the facility. The enterprise contributes UZS 4.8 billion in budget revenues, supporting the economic development of the district.
The complex produces 27.5 million hatching eggs annually, which are then sold as chicks and day-old chicks.
The enterprise has set up its own feed production facility, including a plant capable of producing 100 tonnes of compound feed per day, to ensure a steady supply of quality feed for its poultry. All production processes are fully automated.
Previously, chicken meat and eggs were supplied to Karakalpakstan from other parts of Uzbekistan. The enterprise now contributes to meeting demand for these products in the Aral Sea region and also supplies them to international markets.
By September, the company had exported $1.1 million worth of products to Afghanistan. It plans to increase exports to $1.5 million by the year-end.
Another poultry farm, covering 8.5 hectares and representing a $5 million investment, is scheduled to open by the end of the year. The project is expected to create additional jobs and boost production.
The president emphasized the importance of developing such facilities into larger-scale poultry enterprises, with the potential to create additional employment opportunities, including higher-paying jobs.
