Uzbekistan-2 defeated the Philippines 2.5-1.5, while Uzbekistan-3 drew 2-2 with Austria.

In the women's event, Uzbekistan's first team drew 2-2 with the United States.

Uzbekistan-2 defeated Tunisia 4-0, while Uzbekistan-3 beat Madagascar 3.5-0.5.

Sixth-round matches are scheduled for September 21.

The 46th World Chess Olympiad is being held in Samarkand and will run until September 27.
