Ravshan Haydarov’s side finished top of the group with nine points and a 9–1 goal difference. Uzbekistan opened its campaign with a 5–1 win over the Philippines before beating Kuwait 2–0.

In their final group match on September 22, Uzbekistan defeated Vietnam 2–0. Mukhammadali Urinboev opened the scoring in the fifth minute, while Nurlan Ibraimov doubled the lead in the 67th minute.

The result left Uzbekistan on nine points, followed by Vietnam on four, the Philippines on three and Kuwait on one.

As Group C winners, Uzbekistan will face the runner-up from Group D in the quarterfinals. The opponent will be either South Korea or Saudi Arabia, with the Group D standings to determine the matchup. The quarterfinals are scheduled for September 25.
