The projects, with a total value of $9.4 billion, are being implemented across all 16 cities and districts of the region, according to the presidential press service.
The investment program covers energy, construction, textiles, mechanical engineering, education, tourism, logistics, pharmaceuticals and healthcare.

Among the projects being launched are a cotton and textile cluster, an electricity storage and distribution system, furniture and leather-footwear industrial zones, and facilities producing electric buses, solar panels and micro-hydropower equipment. Modern education and medical centers are also being established.
The new projects also include modern residential complexes, international logistics and tourism centers, a hydropower plant and a facility that will generate electricity from waste. Production facilities for vehicles and freight railcars are also planned.
The projects are being implemented with companies from China, Turkey, South Korea, the United States, Russia, Belarus, Germany, India, the United Arab Emirates and Tajikistan, as well as local investors.


Once completed, the projects are expected to create more than 45,000 jobs and generate annual production worth UZS 60.6 trillion, with export potential estimated at $533 million.
Officials from all cities and districts of Andijan, along with foreign partners and project initiators, joined the launch ceremony via video link and briefed the president on the projects’ significance, implementation progress and planned commissioning dates.
