The meeting focused on major joint projects already underway in the transport and healthcare sectors, according to Mirziyoyeva.
The sides also discussed potential areas for further cooperation, including the digitalization of social services, expanding access to modern financial services, logistics and critical minerals.
“Uzbekistan is ready to continue expanding cooperation with the DFC,” Mirziyoyeva said.
The meeting with Black was part of Mirziyoyeva’s engagements on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly. On the same day, she also met with UN Secretary-General António Guterres to discuss key areas of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United Nations.
The UN General Assembly session has brought together delegations from nearly 130 countries at UN Headquarters. The Uzbek delegation has also attended speeches by several world leaders during the General Debate.
